Scan Engineering Expands into Vessel Side Operations

Dedicated Marine Vessel Team Now Underway at Scan Engineering

The marine sector is not like the rest. It does not wait for standard lead times, it does not operate in clean factory conditions, and it does not give second chances. That is exactly why Scan Engineering is forming a dedicated team focused exclusively on marine vessel service and repair.

We are not just expanding capacity. We are building a division built around urgency, onboard work, safety, and offshore readiness.

Why This Team Matters

For the past several years, we have been handling marine jobs as part of our general operations — covering everything from onboard pipe fabrication to hatch reworks and hull strengthening.

But with vessel calls increasing, and the complexity of onboard works rising, we knew it was time to stop treating marine service as a job type. It needs to be its own team. With its own tools. And its own rhythm.

Scope This Division Will Handle
  • Onboard fabrication of hydraulic, pneumatic, cooling, ballast, and firewater lines

  • Replacement and installation of sea water and bilge pipelines

  • Tank repairs including leak sealing, surface prep, and anti corrosion coatings

  • Heat exchanger cleaning and seal replacement

  • Fabrication of access ladders, platforms, and handrails

  • Hull modifications and reinforcement around hatches and ladder points

  • Emergency callout support within UAE shipyards and dockside zones

Built for the Marine Environment

This team will be equipped and trained specifically for:

  • Working in tight, confined onboard spaces

  • Handling safety critical systems with class approval awareness

  • Operating with flexible shift timing and short notice readiness

  • Coordinating closely with marine superintendents and drydock schedules

We are also building a portable equipment kit with tools suited for on vessel deployment, not just shop based support.

Why Clients Asked for This

The truth is, our marine clients have been asking this for years. They want:

  • A single point of contact

  • A team that understands vessel layout, not just piping schematics

  • Welders and fabricators who can work clean and fast inside ships

  • Partners who speak the same language as the crew and superintendent

We are responding with exactly that. A proper vessel team. Not a shifted crew.

Scan Engineering is not entering the marine space. We have already been there. This is us stepping up with a team that speaks vessel, breathes urgency, and delivers like the sea demands.
